Brunei! Burma! Cambodia! Indonesia! Laos! Malaysia! Philippines! Singapore! Thailand! Vietnam! Sounds familiar? You got it right! They are the ten members oF the ASEAN.. They had the ASEAN Summit held here, supossedly that would be held last December but unfortunately the news said that it will be postponed because of a typhoon.. Huh? Where's the typhoon?.. well anyway, so let it be.. Other schools resumed they're classes except UP.. well.. happy days are here again.. happy days are here again.. but I wanna talk about the budget alloted for the Summit.. I'm sure 1 billion is not much for the CICC, lights, flowers, road repair and lanterns.. How come the government had alloted that much of money for a four-day summit.. What's on my mind right now is that, "what if I was the one who holds the budget for the summit? How would I use it?" I want to answer that question..
If I were the one holding the budget, the first thing I would do is to reserve rooms for the delegates and a big room where the conference is to be held.. let's just say that was worth 100 million.. Isn't it too big, well that would include the security system and food.. I think that's just enough.. I don't think I have to put so much lights in the streets, besides the summit is held at daytime, also I dont have to repair the roads.. The purpose for this summit is to improve countries, right? we are a poor country, we need to show what we have and we don't have.. Am I going to senti? back to the topic.. wow! I still have 900 million left.. Of course the 900 million goes to the soceity.. How? I would use the money through soceity projects like livelihood seminars, medical missions, school buildings, housing projects, youth projects.. As much as possible my project focuses on the rural places and those places which needs much improvement.. I'm sure it's not only me who thinks of these stuffs.. I know all youth including me, aims to have a soceity like this.. If only, we are given the chance to handle the soceity for a week, a month or a year.. my bestfriend even told me that "sometimes we need an inocent mind to have a change" I am not so sure of her lines but it sounded like that.. ya right, she has a point, sometimes it really needs an inocent mind, a mind that aims nothing but change and improvement! uuh.. i don't know who to blame.. I think thats enough for now.. i dont know how to organize my thoughts already
